Worship and Bible Study resources for Advent, Christmas and Epiphany
Download from here.
The celebrations of Christmas are at the heart of the Gospel. We affirm and celebrate that God, the creator of all, is one with us and alongside us, sharing our humanity; being born, being loved, living a human life. The incarnation of God in Christ is at the heart of the story of our salvation, part of the wonder of the good news. It is indeed reason to celebrate! This is also one of the times of the year when wider circles of people join us and when we, as church, have opportunities to speak and sing of our faith in the streets and squares, among families and friends.
The five teachers at Westminster offer you these resources in the hope that they might be helpful as you prepare for the coming time of reflection and festival. We know what it’s like to look for ideas and inspiration and we hope that what we offer might, amidst much else, prove useful! Westminster is a resource centre for learning, and we hope that this is one way in which we might be a resource for you.
In this leaflet you will find some notes for Bible study, some theological reflection pieces, along with some ideas for worship. Please free to use them, reproduce them or adapt them as seems best! They are our gift to you. This leaflet is available to download from here, and is set up as single sheets of A4 so you can decide how large or small you’d like it to be.
We join in wishing you well for the coming year of your Christian life.
With warm greetings in Christ,
Susan Durber, John Bradbury, John Proctor, Janet Tollington and Neil Thorogood
