About the Room
Margaret Dunlop Gibson (1843-1920) was one of the Sisters of Sinai – twin sisters and biblical scholars who visited Egypt and the Holy Land nine times, translated and published manuscripts and studied at St Catherine’s Monastery in Sinai. They discovered the forgotten Cairo Genizah with Solomon Schechter – and generously gave this land for the building of Westminster College.
