CTF Annual Research Day 2025: Call for Papers (deadline extended!)
On Friday 30th May 2025, Westminster College, Wescott House and Wesley House will host a Research Day for the Cambridge Theological Federation. This event is an opportunity to celebrate the work of Federation students and staff, especially but not exclusively post-graduate researchers. We seek to provide emerging scholars a venue to hone the skills of crafting and delivering conference papers to their academic peers. The theme of the conference is Embodying Theology, and the keynote lecture, ‘Embodiment as Poetry’, will be given by Dr Medi Volpe (Wesley House). The research day will take place in a hybrid format, with participants attending either in-person at Westminster College or online. In-person attendees are invited to a dinner at the end of the day, followed by a panel discussion, at Westminster College (of which further details will be circulated).
All CTF students and staff interested in presenting are invited to submit paper abstracts of no more than 300 words. We welcome submissions from any and all theological disciplines, which can but do not have to engage with the theme of theology and bodies. These abstracts should identify the title, topic, and argument of the proposed presentation with as much precision as possible. Further, abstracts should indicate whether the presentation will be online or in-person and whether any A/V equipment will be required. Presenters will have a 30-minute slot that will include the presentation itself as well as time for questions and discussion.
Abstracts should be sent to Dr Jonathan Soyars (jes229@westminster.cam.ac.uk) by 14th April 2025.
