The Lewis room has been purposely designed in boardroom style, taking 14 delegates comfortably, but it works equally well in alternative layouts. The room has built-in audiovisual equipment, natural lighting, and very comfy chairs.
A little about the room…
Agnes Smith Lewis (1843-1926) was one of the Sisters of Sinai; twin sisters and biblical scholars, they visited Egypt and the Holy Land nine times. They translated and published manuscripts, studied at St Catherine’s Monastery in Sinai, and discovered the forgotten Cairo Genizah with Solomon Schechter. The sisters generously gave this land for the building of Westminster College.
