Winter School
Biblical Hebrew Academic Intensive
January 7th to 16th 2025
Come and learn Biblical Hebrew from scratch, in Cambridge.
This course is for those who are currently studying at BA level or above, or already know a Semitic language, and would like to learn Biblical Hebrew intensively from scratch for academic purposes. This will take you from learning the alphabet, through to translating some basic biblical texts.
Tutor: Dr Marieke Dhont
Dr Marieke Dhont is a Teaching Associate for the Foundation Year and Affiliated Lecturer at the Faculty of Divinity, University of Cambridge. She has a joint PhD in Religious Studies and Theology from KU Leuven and UC Louvain.

Arrivals between 11am and 1pm on Tuesday week 1
Departures after lunch on Thursday week 2

*NB there will be a half day of teaching on the first and last day and no programme on Sunday of week 1

Bursaries
We are pleased to be able to offer a limited number of bursaries for students and those on low incomes. Please indicate on the booking form if you would like to be considered for a bursary.
Cost
The cost per delegate is £500, inclusive of all teaching material; tea/coffee, lunch (weekdays); and optional free activities. A 10% student discount applies.
